Self Education

Intersectionality is, "the relationships among multiple dimensions and modalities of social relations and subject formations." In simpler words, it describes identity as being compounded of multiple factors - all of which may lead to intersecting forms of oppression and privilege. For example, being white and queer-identifying you may be subject to different experiences of oppression and privilege.

A principle of intersectionality is being committed to self-education of the oppression that others and yourself may experience and also the privilege that must be acknowledged and recognised in daily life. Here are some resources to explore to help you on your way! This list will grow as we add more and more resources, thank you to those who have already contributed. :)
